Protective Services provides investigative and consulting services related to product and service liability cases regarding fires, explosions, and carbon monoxide poisoning injuries and deaths associated with buildings and vehicles. We have conducted in excess of five thousand inspections and have Certified Fire Inspector III employees.
Forensic Incident Reconstruction is used to describe the identification, collection, recording and preparation of scale diagrams to show the physical evidence that is necessary to understand the occurrence of an incident.
Forensic Mapping provides information on the crush and maximum engagement of the materials involve in the incident, along with approach angles and departure angles. This information which Forensic Mapping provides, not only aids in the investigation, but can be critical in determining factually what happened in many cases.
Investigation of cases include
Fire, building, safety, and specialty code research and application associated with nationally recognized codes and standards. Knowledgeable in the scope and application of documents published by the National Fire Protection Association; Southern Building Code Congress International; and the International Code Council including NFPA 70 National Electrical Code; NFPA 30 and 30A related to flammable and combustible liquids as well as automotive and marine storage/dispensing facilities; and NFPA 101 and 72 related to life safety in buildings and the requirements for fire alarm detection and notification equipment.
